Good to see George Piper get three points for us last night with a very tidy style! Wasn't this the lad who used to ride round at Oxford after the meetings in recent years? Also, didn't he ride against us for Weymouth on two occasions earlier in the season? So how does it work that he can now ride for us? Going on last nights performance maybe we should keep him in the fold! Regards

He is now part of our squad having been dropped by Weymouth to accommodate Jaye Herne. And you are right in that he rode in the first CL meeting here at Oxford this season for Weymouth

Yep remember a much smaller George Piper getting a feel of the track.Nice to see he's come through and looks like he could make it!The styles there and the speed will come!Keep at it George! Also liked the look of Rob Smith in second half races, remember him from a few years ago also, anyone know if he's contracted anywhere?

I think this is the Rob Smith who has just been left out of the Plymouth side to accomodate the return of Tim Webster. On a general note, how pleasing it is to see much more meaningful second half racing lately and, just as importantly, more people staying behind to watch. And didn't the little fella who rides round by himself look good on a slightly more powerful bike! Regards

Regards The "little fella" is 11 years old Ellis Perks, son of referee Robbie and nephew of former rider Dave. Robbie and family are emigrating to Australia later this year BUT, and this did make me laugh (as it did Robbie!) he apparently said to his dad, "I'm only going for five years because a club is bound to want to sign me when I'm old enough!" ;D
