an artical on the grass track web site , said that there could be a meeting at oxford. simon wigg would have been 50 next year. so a meeting could be held in his honour.

not a bad idea as i went to wiggys big day out meeting , if its going to happen then whoever is going to run it needs to sort out the Environmental license as i belive it runs out at end of year. then the track needs to be put down, but all in all a good idea

When you say put the track down do you mean prepare it? I thought it was still in place and being maintained.
What about the fence, I heard the green OSM air fence was in storage in Exeter, could they use the wire fence thats there now as far as i know.
I guess the kit could be borrowed from another track, the water cart went to Birmingham.

A meeting to commerate the legend that was Simon Wigg at the speedway track that saw him in his speedway prime would be great but I guess the only chance of that sort of meeting taking place would be if Oxford speedway fully reopened and the Cheetahs were in one of the Leagues.

the tracks ok .nobby still patrols the track .doing his deweeding job . good on yer mate.
